Welcome! I’m Alyssa, the owner and principal designer of Wray Design Co.
Back in 2022, I like to say I had a midlife crisis. I left my stable 10+ year career in accounting and finance, pivoted into interior design (with no formal training—yep, that’s right), and launched this firm. Based in Minneapolis, MN, it was founded on a simple, disruptive idea: interior design shouldn’t be an out-of-reach luxury.
In my opinion, the interior design industry needs a transformation. It’s stuck between two extremes: high-end, custom services that only 5% of the population can afford, and impersonal online e-design platforms that lack depth and personalization.

If you’ve spoken to other designers, you might have noticed that many will only take on projects that reflect a specific aesthetic to build their own brand portfolio. Or projects that meet a budget minimum.
We aren’t that firm.
We believe your home should look and feel like you. Our process is deeply collaborative, and we never take a "one size fits all" approach because we know that every single client's needs, tastes, and budgets are entirely unique. At the end of the day, our service is about the client—it’s not about us. For every project we take on, our ultimate goal is simply that the end result produces absolute joy, happiness, and satisfaction.
